Hi! My name is Jessie Williams, I am currently a senior a the University of Southern California. I’ll be graduating this May, 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in communications. While these posts are guided by class rubrics, the topics and content are of my choosing. I’ve always been interested in issues of social justice and how people experience current events differently. As this is my final USC Annenberg class one thing I have learned throughout my time as an Annenberg student is that the platform on which you distribute your content is just as important, if not more important, as the content and the message itself. Therefore this blog is a platform where my content is in conversation with the readers and this platform allows the liberty to make it engaging.

Post graduation I have accepted a position as a SDR for a tech start-up in NYC where they focus on experiential and engaging content creation. For starters I’m a creative at heart (I start my own business selling my artwork as an easy/inexpensive way for college students to decorate their dorms), and working with a company whose main goal is to unlock that creativity through technology for others is something I am naturally passionate about. I have always known that in my professional career I wanted to work in an industry that both valued creativity while implementing it within the frame of business. This blog is a great way to get my feet wet before I enter the working world.
